NEWS FROM ABROAD.

 In another exiting turn of events, Bonita Bredenhan our star girl golfer outclassed the field in South Africa to win the 2010 Eastern Cape Ladies Open in a sudden death play-off on the 1^st play-off hole. Bonita departs for KZN on Friday to compete in the KZN Championships. Join us with best wishes for this tournament and make us even more proud. Our congratulations to all the winners thus far and also best of luck for the remainder of tournaments this year.                               

During February the Junior Golf Foundation held the 2^nd Tsumeb Junior Open Tournament. Hosting such Tournaments in the rural areas is part of the Foundations promise to take golf to the kids. On the Friday, The Foundation EXCO and their development coach, assisted a number of kids during a golf clinic held at the club. This tournament was won by Charl du Preez after he got stiff competition from Roux Jeffery that took him to 2 play-off holes before conceding to Charl’s experience.

During this event 11 boys also participated in the 1^st of 3 training camps from which the final four (4) boys will be selected at the end of March to represent Namibia at the Junior All Africa Qualifier Tournament hosted by South Africa at the Glendower Golf Club during 1^st week in April 2010.
