As mentioned, the program has been running since 1985, but has its shortcomings and related problems. The single biggest, being funding.

Our main goal is to increase the number of particiapants in golf to reflect the demographics of Namibia. This will be critical to the future success of the sport into national teams, both junior and senior, and professional players in respect of normalization, integration and representation.

The  Namibia Junior Golf Foundation also gives youths, especially those from underprivileged and previously disadvantaged communities, the opportunity to develop themselves through the game. Golf will open windows of opportunities to help the youths escape from harsher environments. We hope and believe that success stories from the feeder programs will inspire others, thereby developing the game further and wider.
